The workshops are relaxing, full of fun and cover a range of basket weaving techniques. They offer space to allow yourself to be immersed into the weaving and learning new skills.

A light lunch and materials are included in each workshop price. There will be tea and snacks available all day too.

10am. -5pm. each day

All workshops start at 10 am. and will finish around 5 pm. each day. Finishing time can vary and depends on when your basket is finished.

All workshops are €70 for one day and €120 for two days.

Please book more then 7 days before the day of the workshop to make sure suitable material will be ready for use.

Booking is essential as spaces fill up fast. A 50% deposit will secure your place.

January Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th

Free event! But booking is essential.

Come and help us harvest our willow while spending time in company and learn everything about growing willow.

Lunch is provided.

We will be outside so bring waterproof and warm clothing and footwear, and secateurs if you have any.

Round shopping basketFebruary Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd

Beginners class. Also suitable for those who have already made a few round baskets but would like more practice.

We will be weaving one basket each day. A small fruit or bread basket on the first day, a round shopping basket on the second day.

Advanced students: Let me know your experience and what you would like to work on.

It is possible to only do one day for this workshop.

 

March Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd.

Workshop to make your garden extra special this year and to learn to use your own garden branches. I will teach you techniques (with willow) you can then recreate at home from different hedgerow materials.

Projects:

Round random weave garden balls.

-garden climbing frames (obelisks for peas or flowers)

-3 different kinds of birdfeeders.

-Wreaths

Some experience not essential but encouraged.

Workshop can be taken as a one day or two day event.

April Saturday 25 and Sunday 26th

Come and make your own lamp or lampshade. Follow your own design or be inspired by mine. 

Some experience would be helpful but not necessary.

Fittings and plugs etc supplied for extra fee calculated depending on what you need and use during the weekend.

Two day event for a larger lamp.

May Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24rd.

Let your creativity go wild and allow the willow to guide you into a fluid, flowing shape made with rope coil technique among others.

June Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st.

Workshop for advanced weavers. Projects can be chosen from oval work, frame bases, fitching, square work and others. Do let me know what you would like to learn to make sure suitable material is available.

 

Basket collection in kitchenAugust  Monday to Friday (dates to be decided)

This is a fully immersive weaving week suitable for all levels.

It will combine weaving with spending time exploring the surrounding area, hiking,  socialising in the local pub and some more weaving.

Making a log basket requires dedication and strength. Two days will be needed to finish your basket.
